I hope there will be as much participation as last time (though I have to admit, reaching over 30 entries in the middle of the vacation period might be a bit optimistic - I suppose you've been spoiling me so far

) In any case, it's about having a challenge and not about breaking any participation records, so let's just get it on

I was initially going to wait until November 1st to hold our first annual Christmas contest as to not interfere with Halloween and Thanksgiving, but since not every country celebrates these holidays I decided to start it early for those of you who do not celebrate/partake in Halloween/Thanksgiving festivities.

Clothing can be difficult for the artist, from the design aspects and making sure the design fits the character, to drawing correct shapes and folds. So this jam, we focus on clothing.

It greatly pains me to do this. But, if you have entered the "When Darkness Falls" competition, I need you to stop what you are doing and take a peek at this gallery folder:

I've had 3 or 4 people tell me now that they entered the contest successfully but that their deviation is no longer in that folder. I am working on figuring out why this is so, but in the meantime the folder is set so that I am the only one who can approve, move, or delete from it.
If your entry is not there, please send me (^Aeirmid) a note ASAP directing me to your deviation.
Please help me spread the word if you know of anyone else who has entered, and please forgive us this very bizarre kink. I am doing my best to figure out what's going on.

This is a joint contest of three Tolkien-themed groups:

The topic is
BETWEEN THE LINES

Illustrate a scene that is not depicted in the books or movies, but could, or even should happen. You can "read between the lines" in any of Tolkien's books: The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales...

Examples:

Galadriel and Finarfin meet after the War of Wrath,

Aragorn and Arwen playing with their kids,

A conversation between Elrond and Elros,

Aragorn sparring with Glorfindel,

Oropher playing with little Thranduil...

The entry should be new, submitted in July 2012 or later

Maximum three entries per person

You have to be a member of one of the three groups to enter (it doesn't matter of how many of them)
